We are a startup team partnering with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to establish a new digital bank. This initiative aims to deliver more user-friendly, cost-effective, and timely financial services, providing an innovative back-office experience and creating financial flows that contribute to the growth of the Japanese economy.
This position leverages knowledge and experience in coding, infrastructure, etc., to collaborate with developers and information systems personnel to maintain and enhance the security of the digital bank.
Responsibilities
- Establishing security guardrails for cloud environments
- In-house security consulting: Providing technical advice on security to in-house developers, architecture reviews, etc.
- Development of security-related tools and scripts
- Implementation and deployment of frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls
- Implementation of DevSecOps, including K8s, Docker, CI/CD
Requirements
- Basic understanding of computer science, including networks, OS, data structures, cryptographic theory
- Development experience in any programming language or practical experience in security-by-design
- Knowledge or experience in any of the following
- Vulnerability assessment
- Cloud security
- Experience in building and operating DevSecOps
- Experience in building and operating security solutions such as WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM
Nice to haves
While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.
- Experience in CTF
- Experience in bug hunting, obtaining CVEs
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, GCIH
- Deep understanding of authentication and authorization, OIDC, OAuth
- Experience in security-related work in the financial or Fintech industry, such as FISC
- Experience in AI development and/or experience in using AI tools to improve development processes.

Compensation
¥8,000,000 ~ ¥17,004,000 annually.
