In this role, you will be instrumental in architecting this transition, making top-level architectural decisions, and setting the standard for technical excellence. You will also leverage the latest AI tooling to accelerate our pace of delivery while building the necessary guardrails to enforce high software quality.

You will be working in a highly collaborative, global, and distributed environment, partnering closely with team members across our Kyoto, Tokyo, and Vietnam offices.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional, distributed team members (Product Managers, Designers, QA, and Engineers in Kyoto, Tokyo, and Vietnam).
  • Monitor production environments using Datadog, and troubleshoot/recover systems efficiently when issues arise.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor peers, and elevate the overall engineering standards of the team.
  • Maintain and occasionally support legacy systems built in Kotlin as needed.

Requirements

  • Computer Science/Engineering Bachelor’s degree or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
