About Spacely

Spacely Shibuya-ku, Tokyo

Spacely Inc. is a startup pioneering the use of VR and spatial data to transform how people communicate, work, and explore the world. Our cloud-based platform, Spacely, enables anyone, regardless of technical background, to easily create, edit, and deploy 360° VR content for business applications.

About the position

At Spacely, you will be responsible for the development, operation, and implementation of new features for our in-house iOS application. The app you’ll be working on includes functionality for shooting with 360° cameras and creating and editing videos used in VR content production.

Within the mobile app team, development responsibilities are divided between iOS and Android, and the focus this time is on the iOS side. As our clients increasingly shift to mobile, we plan to further strengthen our focus on mobile app development.

This position offers a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to take a proactive role in the development process. Rather than being limited to a specific part of the product, you will be involved from the planning stage through to implementation. We foster a culture that encourages active participation in proposing new features and specifications. Since the app team is still small—often consisting of just one or two members per project—you will have the opportunity to take full ownership of your work, from ideation to execution, making this a highly rewarding role for someone who wants to have a tangible impact on the product.

We also embrace a culture that actively adopts new technologies. The introduction of new tools and approaches is driven by those who propose them, and we are open to bold, innovative technical decisions.

Our development environment makes it easy to incorporate user feedback. We hold internal demo days where employees from other departments can try out the app and share their input before release, allowing for early-stage refinement. Additionally, our close collaboration with sales and customer success teams enables us to rapidly integrate user feedback into the development cycle, both before and after release.

  • Experience with SwiftUI
